Whether the topic is grief, advocacy or survival and growth, Amber captivates & empowers audiences to harness and impact forward.
Honest. Real. Informational. Healing.
Audiences walk away with clarity, tools, connection, and a renewed awareness on grief, power in speaking their truth and ways to take actions for healing or growth or even advocacy. — not just inspiration.Amber Wood has been saying her daughter’s name since that cold November night when Karly Rain was killed by repeat violent offenders — individuals who should not have been free.Four-time felons released back into society, offenders under so-called “supervised” release, and failed public safety policies changed everything. Her beautiful, thriving, hardworking daughter was gone. What followed was not only a waking nightmare, but a revelation of systemic failures that should never be allowed to occur. Before tragedy reshaped her life, Amber was an entrepreneur, artist, and photographer — ever evolving as she navigated single motherhood while raising two strong, independent daughters who explored their talents, creativity, and athletic abilities. Life demanded resilience again and again, and each time, Amber fought through. The unbearable pain of losing Karly became the catalyst for a journey Amber never chose, but felt deeply called to walk.“This isn’t a job I want — it’s a job I have to do for my daughter.”What began as unimaginable loss transformed into a mission: to fight for her daughter’s stolen life, to honor victims whose voices were silenced, and to challenge the systems and policymakers that continue to fail families, communities, and the innocent public.Amber has taken this path head-on — evolving, learning, and expanding her skill set to support others navigating trauma-filled realities. Her work bridges lived experience with restorative justice principles, victim advocacy, public safety reform, healing processes, and self-care practices that support long-term survival and growth.Amber has spoken internationally, to audiences made up of people from 4 continents and several countries, including Africa, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, Ireland, the United States, Spain, Canada and more. Her voice resonates because grief, injustice, healing, and the need for change know no borders."Bullets don’t discriminate — and neither does strength."Amber understands that grief does not disappear. It stays with us.
Rather than presenting loss as something we “get over,” she meets people where they are — with honesty, courage, and compassion — and invites them forward, sharing secrets and tools she has discovered and uses herself.
